Dr. Bill Scherger was raised in Delphos, Ohio, and attended The Ohio State University for both undergraduate and medical school training. He completed residencies in family medicine and OB/GYN at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He has been Board Certified in both specialties.

Dr. Scherger left family medicine to pursue a career in OB/GYN primarily because of his passion for obstetrics. His other areas of interest include high-risk pregnancies, twins, infertility, minimally invasive surgery (MIS) including advanced laparoscopy/robotic surgery, menstrual disorders, contraception options, urinary incontinence, and post-menopausal/gynecological issues, including pelvic organ prolapse.

He and his wife, Lori, have six children and an ever expanding number of grandchildren. Together they enjoy many outdoor activities including golf, biking, water sports, hiking, and both Alpine and Nordic snow skiing. They share a passion for helping couples build strong families, offering mentoring in marriage and stepfamily development, along with teaching programs to junior high/high school and youth groups on the issues they face regarding teen sexuality and sexual integrity. They can be reached regarding their ministry, “Stepping Forward,” at stepforwardmin@aol.com.
